Material care

Zadig&Voltaire's women's wardrobe has one aim, freeing women from constraints so they can express themselves through style without limitations. We love good materials and tell you how to take care of them.

The leather goods

The leather for our handbags is rigorously selected - Zadig&Voltaire joined the Leather Working Group (LWG) in 2020 to support more responsible leather manufacturing. - It could present a risk of bleeding and staining lighter coloured clothing, or vice versa, it could be stained by clothes that are darker if it is light. Leather garments cannot be washed. They should be cleaned by a leather specialist when necessary. Store garments away from light and humidity to ensure they continue to look beautiful.

The cashmere

To maintain the quality of your cashmere over time, we recommend washing it inside out in a net, on the wool programme, in cold water, with a small amount of special wool detergent and without any softener. The spin speed should never exceed 400 revolutions. You may choose to hand-wash it. Do not soak it or wring it out. Dry it flat and out of direct light. It can be cool ironed if necessary. Take care not to misshape it.
Our delicate knits require special care. Avoid contact with abrasive surfaces or jewellery, as this can cause damage.
